BC Explorer Map: 33 Trails to Discover

The FieldFinders Explorer Map features remarkable places across British Columbia where families can experience nature together.

Each location connects to landscapes, wildlife, and ecosystems that make the province one of the world's most diverse natural regions.

More locations will continue to be added as the FieldFinders community grows.

Why We Created the Explorer Map

FieldFinders was created to help families slow down and notice more when they spend time outdoors.

Children naturally see things adults often miss — a bird calling overhead, a strange leaf on the trail, or a mushroom growing beside a tree.

The Explorer Map connects those moments of curiosity with real places across British Columbia.

By linking stickers to landscapes, the map helps turn simple outdoor adventures into opportunities for learning, discovery, and connection with nature.

Land Acknowledgement

FieldFinders is based in Chilliwack on the traditional territory of the Stó:lō Nation, whose name means “People of the River.” For thousands of years, Stó:lō communities have lived in relationship with the Fraser River and the surrounding lands, carrying deep knowledge of the ecosystems that shape this region.

As FieldFinders explores parks, trails, and natural places across British Columbia, we recognize that these lands exist on the traditional and unceded territories of many Indigenous Nations.

For generations, Indigenous Peoples have cared for the forests, mountains, rivers, and coastlines that families continue to explore today. Their knowledge, cultures, and histories remain deeply connected to these landscapes.

Through FieldFinders, we encourage families to approach outdoor exploration with curiosity, respect, and gratitude — learning not only about nature, but also about the communities and traditions connected to the places we visit.

Exploration begins with respect: for the land, for the ecosystems that sustain it, and for the people who have cared for these places long before us.
